Masked Gunman Robs Parole Bank

A masked man robbed a Parole bank Tuesday morning, county police reported.

Investigators said the robber, armed with a handgun, walkedinto the First American Bank of Maryland in Parole Plaza about 11 a.m. and demanded money. A teller gave him money from her cash drawer and the man left the bank.

Police described the robber as a black man, about 5 feet 7 inchestall, weighing 160 pounds. He was wearing light blue jeans and a dark-colored ski jacket.

TWO ANNAPOLIS MEN FACE DRUG CHARGES

Two Annapolis men were charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine after police broke up a fight at Meade High School on Tuesday.

County police said officers were working security detail at a basketball game between Meade and Annapolis highs schools when they saw twomen fighting.

After they broke up the fight, they searched the men and seized 35 grams of cocaine.

Wallace Winfield Williams Jr., 18, of the first block of Pleasant Street, and Vincent Rudolph Jones, 19, of the 1100 block of Eastport Terrace, also were charged with disorderly conduct.
