A 29-year-old Severna Park woman whose car struck a county police officer as he removed debris from a highway in Pasadena was sentenced yesterday to 30 days in jail for drunken driving, a county prosecutor said.
Lisa Marie Sachs received a 14-month sentence, with all but the 30 days in jail and 30 days of house arrest suspended, said Anne L. Colt, an assistant state's attorney. The prosecutor said Sachs hada blood-alcohol level of .20 percent, more than twice the legal limit, when she struck Officer Craig Dodson shortly after midnight Oct. 30.
Dodson, 36, was removing logs that had been thrown onto Route 100when he was hit by Sachs' car. The 17-year veteran was among a groupof officers responding to a call that juveniles had thrown logs and other debris into the eastbound lanes of the highway near its intersection with Route 10.
