Three elected to Science Center's board of trustees

Frank P. Bramble Sr., Willard Hackerman and Sheila K. Riggs were elected this month to the Maryland Science Center's board of trustees, said Robert D.H. Harvey, the board's chairman.

"We are delighted to have three such active and committed community leaders join our board," Mr. Harvey said.

Mr. Bramble is president, chief executive officer and director of MNC Financial Inc. and Maryland National Bank. He also serves on the boards of the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, Calvert Hall College High School and the New Community College of Baltimore Task Force of the Greater Baltimore Committee.

Mr. Hackerman, president of Whiting-Turner Co. since 1955, oversees a $500 million construction firm and has been instrumental in re-establishing the G.W.C. Whiting School of Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.

Ms. Riggs is active on many boards, including the Baltimore Council of Foreign Affairs, the Maryland Institute College of Art, the Baltimore Museum of Art and the National Aquarium in Baltimore.
