Candidates today

Presidential and vice-presidential candidates from both parties are scheduled to campaign in Baltimore and Annapolis today.

Vice President Dan Quayle is to visit the McCormick/Schilling Hunt Valley spice plant at 1 p.m., followed by a talk with Bush/Quayle GOP delegate candidates and a press conference at 2:15 at the Hunt Valley Inn, 245 Shawan Road.

On the Democratic side, former Sen. Paul E. Tsongas of Massachusetts is scheduled to address a group of environmentalists at 2 p.m. at the Marriott Waterfront Hotel in Annapolis.

Iowa Sen. Tom Harkin has scheduled three public appearances in the Baltimore area today, beginning with a speech at 4 p.m. in the University of Maryland's Westminster Hall at Fayette and Greene streets, sponsored by the Young Democrats of the School of Law.

Following a rally at 5:45 p.m. at the University of Baltimore School of Law at Mount Royal and Maryland avenues, the candidate is scheduled to speak at a rally sponsored by United Steelworkers of America Local 2610 in Steelworkers Hall, 540 Dundalk Ave.
