Polimericks

February 21, 1992|By George Neff Lucas

If Bush's fifth name's Education,

How come he buys humiliation?

Grads can't add or spell

But yearly excel

At making a dunce of the nation.

One thing present politics teaches

As far as the campaign trail reaches:

Hear what the man says

But if he's the prez,

Beware of nonpartisan speeches.

On "Crossfire" where Buchanan sat,

Sununu now goes to the mat;

Suspicion is strong

He'll be rightly as wrong

As knee-jerk illiberal Pat.

How full can you fill February?

Cute groundhog, the NH primary,

World-class skiers, skaters

Television sweeps raters,

Ballplayers much too millionairy.
