Presidential campaign in Maryland

It's your call

February 21, 1992

More than two-thirds of the callers to SUNDIAL think Patrick Buchanan can mount a strong challenge to President Bush in the Republican primary in Maryland. The figures are 544 to 270, from 814 callers.

On the Democratic side, 816 callers vote their preferences this way: Former Sen. Paul Tsongas, 261 (31.9 percent); Sen. Bob Kerrey, 205 (25.1 percent); Arkansas Gov. Bill Clinton, 199 (24.4 percent); former California Gov. Jerry Brown, 134 (16.4 percent); and Sen. Tom Harkin, 17 (2 percent).

"It's Your Call" represents a sampling of opinions from certain segments of the community, but it is not balanced demographically, as a scientific public opinion poll would be.
