Nova Pharmaceutical Corp. reported a net loss of $4.1 million in the last quarter of 1991, representing a slight improvement over the $4.2 million loss posted in the same quarter a year earlier.

For the year, the company incurred a loss of $14.8 million, or 54 cents a share, compared with a loss of $14.2 million, or 53 cents a share, in 1990. The larger loss for the year came despite a 39 percent increase in revenues.

The 1990 period, however, included a $4.49 million expense from discontinued operations, resulting in a $3.1 million net loss.
