Glen Burnie Man Beaten, Robbed

A Glen Burnie man was robbed and beaten early yesterday by three menwho asked him the time, county police reported.

Detectives said the 32-year-old man had dropped off a hitchhiker about 2:30 a.m. on Whitacker Road in Freetown Village when three men stopped him and askedthe time.

When the man told them the time, one of the three grabbed his watch and ran toward Levi Court. The victim followed the trio to Levi Court and asked for his watch back. One of the men gave the watch back,but the three then beat him, police said.

Police described one assailant as a black male in his mid-20s, about 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds. The second assailant was a black male in his mid-20s, wearing a maroon sweat suit.

The third assailant was described only as a black man.

MAN WITH KNIFE ROBS MAYO MARKET

A man with a knife robbed a Mayo market of $452 Monday afternoon, county police said.

Investigators said a man walked into the Selby Bay Market in the 900 block of Mayo Road about 2 p.m. and brought a pint of milk to counter. When the clerk opened the cash drawer, the robber took out a knife and grabbed the money.

The clerk chased the robber down River Road until the man got into a dirty, green Ford Torino.

Police described the robber as a white male in his mid-30s, about 5-foot-9 and 230 pounds. He was wearing a flannel shirt and blue jeans.

EDGEWATER MAN ROBBED ONWALK

An Edgewater man was robbed early yesterday on a path behindBowman Court, Annapolis police said.

Shawn A. Jones of Muddy Creek Road told police he was walking behind the 1800 block of Bowman Court around 12:10 a.m. when two men hit him in the head and stomach andstole $5 from his pocket.

The suspects were described as black males, about 6 feet tall, one wearing jeans, and the other a sweat suit.
