J. Randle Biden Sr., firm's vice president of finance

J. Randle Biden Sr., a semiretired executive at a company that makes equipment for the poultry industry, died after a heart attack Thursday at Carroll County General Hospital. He was 63 and lived in Finksburg.

Services for Mr. Biden were being held today at the Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road in Reisterstown.

He was vice president of finance at Beacon Industries Inc.-PennMar

Castings, which has offices in Hanover, Pa., and Westminster. He had been working part time since April.

Mr. Biden was a member of the South Hills Golf Club in Hanover and the Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Finksburg. He was a past exalted ruler of the Westminster Elks Lodge No. 2277.

The Baltimore native had served in the National Guard.

Mr. Biden is survived by his wife of 39 years, the former Evelyn Harris; a son, J. Randle Biden Jr. of Finksburg; a sister, Claire B. Wilder of Baltimore; and two grandchildren.

The family suggested that memorial contributions be made to Mount Zion United Methodist Church, 3006 Old Westminster Pike, Finksburg 21048.
