Builders to break ground for home addition center

Baltimore area,will break ground this week for a Custom Addition Design Center,which will show ways homeowners can obtain more living space without moving.

Slated for completion by early May at 1110 Pulaski Highway in White Marsh,the center will contain full-scale models of a master bedroom suite,a kitchen and breakfast room and a " great room" Paul Thompson of Architectural Design Works in Kingsville is the architect,and Cheryl williams is the design center marketing consultant.

Gast officials say it is aimed at the many property owners who are choosing to add to their current homes rather than purchase new ones.

" We believe that homeowners in our area will welcome the opportunity to see in place many of the new and quality products on the market in an actual version of the custom addition they are considered," said Charlie Gast,the company president.

Fidelity Merit Title Co.

Fidelity Title Co. and Merit Title Co. have merged to form Fidelity Merit Title Co.,which will be one of the larger title companies in central Maryland.

Lee M. Snyder,formerly of Fidelity,and William L. Yerman, formerly of Merit ,will be general partners in the new organization.

With 35 employees , Fidelity Merit Title Co.,will be based at the Commercecentre,1777 Reistertown Road in Baltimore County. Branch offices will be at 139 N. Main St. in Bel Air and 470G Governor Ritchie Highway in Severna Park.
