Area schedules skid to halt in snow

Yesterday's school closings forced the postponement of several high school events, including the championship games of the Association of Independent Schools winter soccer tournament.

Also among the postponements were all of yesterday's Baltimore County boys and girls basketball games. All will be played Wednesday. Sites and times will remain the same.

The AIS soccer title games will be played today at 3:30 p.m. St. Paul's will meet Garrison Forest at McDonogh in the B Division final and McDonogh and Notre Dame Prep will meet in the A Division final at Park.

The AIS basketball tournament semifinals were also postponed yesterday and will be played today at 3:30 p.m. In the A Division, Roland Park will be at McDonogh and Notre Dame Prep will be at Bryn Mawr. The championship game will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at the College of Notre Dame.

In the B Division semifinals today at 3:30 p.m., Garrison Forest will be at Friends and St. Timothy's will be at Park. The championship game will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the College of Notre Dame.

The first round of the Maryland Scholastic Association Wrestling Tournament has been pushed back to today at Gilman beginning at 3 p.m.

The quarterfinals will be held Saturday starting at 10:30 a.m. The semifinals will begin at 3:30 p.m. The consolation will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m., followed by the final at 3:30 p.m.
