Outlook: This is the 13th annual MSL All-Star Game, the first played in Baltimore. Despite its one-division format, the MSL has retained its tradition of East vs. West by splitting the seven clubs into two teams. Baltimore, Cleveland and Dallas players will make up the East squad. Cleveland F Zoran Karic, the leading MSL scorer with 30 goals and 37 assists, was the top vote-getter in the East in the balloting by the players. Dallas F Tatu (33-30--63) is second in the league in scoring and is making his seventh All-Star Game appearance -- the most of any player in the East. The West will include players from San Diego, Wichita, St. Louis and Tacoma. San Diego Sockers G Victor Nogueira (league-leading 4.67 goals against average) received more votes than any other player. Wichita Wings D Kim Roentved is making his 11th appearance, tops of any player in the game. St. Louis Storm M Branko Segota is playing in his ninth All-Star Game. With Segota, Nogueira, Preki, Dale Mitchell and Chico Borja, the West has most of the big names, but the East has the top two scorers (Karic and Tatu) and the top two defenders in number of blocks this season (Dallas D Wes McLeod with 67 and Blast D Iain Fraser with 63). Besides Fraser, the Blast will be represented by F Domenic Mobilio, M Mark Mettrick, G Cris Vaccaro, D Doug Neely and F Rod Castro.
