Baltimore City

THEFT: Northern District -- A resident of the 5300 block of N. Charles St. reported that someone removed several feet of copper downspouting, valued at $400, from her garage Saturday between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A 17-year-old student at Johns Hopkins University in the 3400 block of N. Charles St. reported that someone entered her room over the weekend and stole property valued at more than $200. Police said entry appeared to have been with a key and that the intruder escaped with a compact disc player, radio and other personal property.

CUTTING: Western District -- Police reported that a resident of the 500 block of Bloom St. was listed in stable condition today at the University of Maryland Medical Center after he was stabbed in the arm late Saturday night near his home. Police said the victim was attacked by a man with a 6-inch-long knife and was stabbed in the left arm. The attacker escaped.

SHOOTING: Western District -- Police today were seeking a known suspect in a shooting early yesterday. The victim told police he was in the 2000 block of Woodbrook Ave. shortly before 1 a.m. when a man called out to him. Moments later, police said, the caller pulled out a handgun and shot the victim in the right side. Police said the wounded man was taken by ambulance to the University of Maryland Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition today.

THEFT: Western District -- An out-of-town resident reported that while his car was parked in the 1200 block of N. Calhoun St. yesterday afternoon, someone broke a window to get into the vehicle and stole property valued at more than $700.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A woman who was walking in the 3600 block of Caton Ave. late Saturday night was attacked by two men who grabbed her around the neck and stole her purse, which contained cash and property valued at more than $300.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Two men, one with a sawed-off shotgun, robbed a Brooklyn, N.Y., man in the 2900 block of Riggs Ave. of nearly $4,000 early yesterday. The victim told police he and another man were approached around 12:10 a.m. by two men, one carrying the shotgun. Police said the armed men stopped the New York resident and demanded his money while shoving the barrel of the weapon into his mouth and threatening to kill him. Police said the victim gave up $3,700 and the thieves then ordered the victim's companion to give up his money, but were told he had none. Police said the gunman told the second man to go to a certain home nearby and get money or they would kill his friend. Later, the man returned and told the thieves he was unable to get any more money. Police said the armed man and his accomplice escaped on foot. Police said the incident was drug-related.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A man reported he was in the 4100 block of Woodridge Road early yesterday when he was accosted by a couple who robbed him of $20. He told police the woman had a knife and threatened to cut him if he resisted. Later, police arrested a man and his female companion in the robbery. Police said the man was being held at the station pending formal charges of robbery and robbery with a deadly weapon. The woman, police said, was being held at the Women's Detention Center at the Central District on the same charges.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone broke into a dwelling in the 3000 block of W. North Ave. over the weekend and stole property valued at $400. Police said entry was gained through a third-story window and the burglar escaped with a VCR and a video game.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- Someone broke into a car parked in the 600 block of Lyndhurst Ave. yesterday morning and stole property valued at nearly $250. The owner of the car said entry was gained by breaking a window and the thief escaped with a set of floor mats, tools and five cassette tapes.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 3500 block of Clifton Ave. reported that someone broke into her apartment over the weekend by climbing onto a porch roof and opening a second-floor door and stole stereo equipment valued at nearly $500.

THEFT: Southern District -- A resident of the 1500 block of W. Pratt St. reported that someone broke into his car while it was parked near his home over the weekend and stole a bowling ball and a baby stroller valued at a total of $50.

Baltimore County

KIDNAP/RAPE: White Marsh District -- Police today continue to search for a man who kidnapped a woman from the parking lot of Golden Ring Mall over the weekend and drove her to an isolated area, where he raped her several times. Police said the victim was walking across the parking lot around 9:30 a.m. Friday when she was accosted by a man she knows, who forced her to accompany him in his car. The victim was taken to the rape crisis center at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson, where she was treated and released. Police said the woman gave police a description of her attacker.
