Whitney Returns To Va.

Navy Fireman Apprentice Richard J. Whitney, son of Richard J. Whitney of Savage, returned to Norfolk, Va., aboard the destroyer tender USS Shenandoah following a seven-month deployment to the Mediterranean and the Red Sea.

He joined the Navy in February 1990.

MEYER IS SPECIALIST

Senior Airman Ryan T. Meyer, son of Robert and Joyce Meyer of Sykesville, has graduated from the airlift aircraft maintenance specialist course at Sheppard Air Force Base, Wichita Falls, Texas.

Meyer is the son of Robert and Joyce Meyer of Sykesville.

SPECIALIST IS LEADER

Spec. Jeffrey M. Froelich, son of Norman and Frances Froelich of Eldersburg, has completed an Army primary leadership course.

A 1988 graduate of Liberty High School, Froelich is an infantryman at Camp Bonifas, South Korea.

AIRMAN GRADUATES

Airman Christopher E. Holter, son of William D. Holter of Ellicott City and Rachel J. Hedrick of Sykesville, has graduated from Air Force basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.

Holter is a 1991 graduate of South Carroll High School.

AIRMAN TAKES COURSE

Senior Airman Mark D. Huffman, son of Pat Romano of Columbia, has graduated from the communications-computer systems control specialist course at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Miss.

PRIVATE COMPLETES BASIC

Pvt. April R. Howard, daughter of Earl and Maureen Howard of Columbia, has completed basic training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

Howard graduated from Wilde Lake High School in 1990.
