ROBBERY: Central District -- A Garrison Avenue woman reported to police that an argument with two teen-age girls turned into a robbery when the girls stole some of her belongings. She said the argument occurred in the 300 block of Martin Luther King Blvd., at 3 p.m. yesterday. The victim said the girls took her coat, valued at $54, and her purse, earrings and other personal items.
PURSE SNATCH: Central District -- A woman was in the 2400 block of St. Paul St. yesterday when a man wearing a sweat suit took her purse containing $10 cash and personal items.
ROBBERY: Central District -- A man came to the home of a woman in the 1800 block of Guilford Ave. and asked her if she wanted to buy some meat. The woman agreed to buy the meat and allowed the man into her home to conduct the transaction, police said. The man asked the woman for a bag, and she went into her kitchen to get one, police said. While she was in the kitchen, the man grabbed her purse and fled.
ROBBERY: Western District -- A robber with a .38-caliber handgun took a jacket and a watch valued, together valued at $129, from a man at 12:30 p.m. yesterday in the 1900 block of Mosher St.
ROBBERY: Western District -- A man approached a Mosher Street woman near her home and pointed a gun at her. He took her purse containing $8.50.
BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone pried open the front door of a home in the 2000 block of W. North Ave. and took a color television set and a Sony radio-cassette player.
RAPE: Western District -- A woman reported that a man pointed a gun at her in the 2600 block of Winchester St. and forced her into a car at 8:30 a.m. yesterday. She said the man took her an area off Edmondson Ave. and sexually assaulted her. Police were searching for a suspect in the rape.
BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered the side window to the home of a man in the 1300 block of N. Fulton Ave., at 11 a.m. yesterday and stole a color television set valued at $215.
ROBBERY: Western District -- A man approached a Calhoun Street woman while she was in the 1300 block of W. North Ave. at 3:45 p.m. yesterday and pointed a handgun at her. The bandit fled with $70 worth of food stamps.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Western District -- A Ridgewood Avenue man was in the home of another man when, he said, the man cut him on the right shoulder with a knife. Avon Jones, 33, of the 900 block of Harlem Ave., was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
THEFT: Western District -- A woman reported that she was in the 2100 block of Clifton Ave. when someone removed her Maryland license tags from her car at 6 p.m. yesterday.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Western District -- Police were seeking a man for assault charges after a Windsor Avenue man was struck on the back and hand with a metal pipe in the 2100 block of Ashburton St. at 5:30 p.m. yesterday.
Baltimore County
WARRANT: Catonsville -- Maryland State Police charged three people with drug offenses after executing a search warrant at 6:50 p.m. yesterday. Wayne Lewis Thompson, 22, of the unit block of Oak Shadow Court in Catonsville, was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and theft over $300. Marcia Rosemarie Samuels, 30, of the same address, was charged with the same drug offenses and maintaining a common nuisance. Donald Bradford Williams, 25, of the unit block of Walden Laurel Court in Baltimore County, was charged with possession of marijuana. The State Police drug interdiction team and agents from the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service, which assisted in the operation, seized two pounds of marijuana with a street value of $27,180 and an ounce of cocaine with a street value of $3,500. Also seized were two 9-mm handguns, a .25-caliber automatic handgun and $3,100 cash.
THEFT: White Marsh District -- Someone went into the Imperial Marina, in the 1100 block of Pulaski Highway, and cut a hole in a wire fence around a boat between Wednesday afternoon and yesterday. The thieves took a 200-horsepower outboard motor worth $7,500 from the boat.
PURSE SNATCH: Towson District -- A man knocked down a woman on the first block of Walker Avenue at 3:38 p.m. yesterday and took her purse, which contained eyeglasses and $3 cash. Seven minutes later, a man with the same description snatched a purse from a woman in the 1300 block of Goucher Blvd. and took her purse containing $200 cash.
BURGLARY: Towson District -- Someone broke into the Elks Lodge, in the 400 block of E. Pennsylvania Ave. between 11:45 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. yesterday and ransacked the place. They took cigarettes from a machine, police said.
