* Harriet H. Warfield and her special education students at Ellicott City Elementary, also knownas the Opportunity Class, saw themselves on film this week. The filmwas produced for the use of R. C. Thomas, state supervisor of attendance and special education, and it showed Warfield's class in their regular daily activities of handicrafts and citizenship work.
* Chief Air Raid Warden Benjamin Mellor Jr. indicated this week that acquisition of a countywide system of air raid warning sirens wasunder serious consideration. The county had two such sirens in placeat the time, and it was hoped that three more could be obtained. Because the materials used for the construction of air raid sirens were being conserved for use by the War Department, Mellor was unsure whether the additional sirens would be forthcoming.
