Nick Leonard Bordes, retired president of a company that designs, builds and installs heavy electrical equipment, died Sunday of cancer at his home in Westminster. He was 74.
Services for Mr. Bordes will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Pritts Funeral Home in Westminster.
He retired in 1984 as president of the Electronic Power and Control Co., which he helped to found in 1971. Earlier, he had been director of engineering for the Wolfe and Mann Manufacturing Co. He worked for that company for more than 35 years, starting as a draftsman.
The Baltimore native was a graduate of the Polytechnic Institute.
He is survived by his wife, the former Agnes Donohue; a son, Paul L. Bordes of Towson; a daughter, Joanne Bohli of Westminster; and six grandchildren.
