CHILD INJURED: Western District -- An investigation was under way today to determine how a 22-month-old boy was scalded last night in his home. Western District police said Tareem Mauling, of the 800 block of N. Gilmor St., was admitted to the regional burn unit at the Francis Scott Key Medical Center for treatment of second-degree burns of the right wrist, right thigh and right foot after his mother found him crying in the second-floor hallway outside a bathroom. His condition was listed as good. The mother, Tanzardar Bell, 20, told police she was fixing a meal in the kitchen around 9:30 p.m. while Tareem was asleep in a second-floor bedroom when she heard the child crying.
