Glenelg runs off with boys, girls titles

Glenelg swept the boys and girls team titles at the Howard County Indoor Track Championships yesterday at the 5th Regiment Armory.

Glenelg's Gerard Hogan won the 1,600 and 3,200 runs and anchored the winning 3,200 relay to lead the boys team.

Alicia Adams won the 3,200 run, Kelly Pellovitz the 800 and Kerry Rutter the shot put as individual champions for Glenelg's girls team. The Gladiators also won the 3,200 relay.

Glenelg's girls won despite an amazing performance by Hammond's Kisha Jett, who won three individual gold medals.

Hammond's sophomore won the 55 --, 55 hurdles and 300 run and was part of the winning 800 relay team.

Atholton's Tony Eedmond won the 300 and 500, led off the second-place 3,200 relay and finished fourth in the high jump as the Raiders finished third in the boys' championships.

Hammond's Jackie Rieschick won the 1,600, 500 and was part of the winning 800-relay team. She also finished second in the 800 run.
