Fined New Jersey Nets assistant coach Tom Newell $2,000 and suspended him for one game without pay for bumping referee Steve Javie after being ejected with 7:48 remaining Saturday in the third quarter of the Nets' game at Philadelphia.

Dallas Mavericks -- Signed G Tracy Moore to a second 10-day contract.

Seattle SuperSonics -- Placed F Derrick McKey on the injured list.
