Driver Arrested On Drugs Charge

County police have charged a Glen Burnie man with narcotics violations after a traffic stop Saturday on Kimberly Lane in Glen Burnie, police said.

According to the police report, an officer stopped a manat about midnight for suspected drunken driving.

The officer, smelling a strong odor of PCP, searched the man and found a film canister containing PCP in the front pocket of his shirt, police said.

Jeffrey Thomas Delawder, 23, of the unit block of Glen Ridge Road, was charged with possession of PCP.

WOMAN, 72, ASSAULTED AT MOUNTAIN RD. HOME

A 72-year-old woman was assaulted Sunday afternoon as she walked into her apartment, county police reported.

Officers said that at about noon, a man followed the woman into herapartment building in the 100 block of Mountain Road and hit her on the the head.

As she fell to the ground, the man went through her pockets but did not take the $4.25 she had or her keys, police said.

Police described the assailant as a black man, about 30, wearing alight-colored jacket, wool cap and work boots.

MAN ACCUSED OF BATTERING WIFE

A Glen Burnie man was charged with battery after his wifetold police he dragged her by her hair Wednesday during a domestic argument.

County police said the woman told officers that she and her husband were arguing at about 9 p.m. in their home in the 400 block of Elwell Court.

She told them that her husband dragged her across the floor by her ponytail and kicked her in her leg. Joseph EdwardBrown, 25, of the 400 block of Elwell Court, was taken to Eastern District to be charged.
