Here's what to look for if you're traveling in the Baltimore metropolitan area this week. This list of highway projects includes only newly announced work, not continuing construction, which is extensive on several highways, including Interstate 95, U.S. 50/301 and the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.

New highway projects

I-95 north -- Northbound roadway from the Baltimore Beltway to White Marsh Boulevard, single-lane closures Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The southbound roadway from White Marsh Boulevard to the Beltway will have single-lane closings Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturdays from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. Speed limit is 45 mph. Watch for various closing northbound and southbound from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. for paving and construction work.

I-95 southbound over I-95 northbound -- Today, one lane southbound will be closed from 5:30 a.m. until noon for deck repairs.

Bus route changes:

The MTA has scheduled the following changes in bus routes for this week. Information: 539-5000; TTY for the hearing-impaired, 539-3497.

Return to regular route

No. 15 -- Buses have resumed regular route on the Bloomingdale Road bridge between Belmont Avenue and Poplar Grove.

Nos. 10, 14, 19, 27, 28 and 210 -- With light-rail construction now completed on Howard Street at Martin Luther King Boulevard, buses on these lines will travel through the intersection beginning next Sunday.

Winter schedule change

Numerous changes in bus schedules and routes will go into effect next Sunday when the MTA makes its winter service adjustments:

No. 23

All trips to Essex will be extended to Eastern Boulevard and Selig Avenue. Destinations signs will continue to read Essex.

No. 35

On Saturdays and Sundays, service will operate only between Franklin Square and Johns Hopkins hospitals. Westbound via regular route to Madison and Wolfe streets, south on Wolfe, lay over at Hopkins Hospital on Wolfe at McElderry Street. Eastbound buses will travel south on Wolfe, east on Jefferson Street, north on Washington Street, east on Monument Street, then via regular route.

New schedules

New schedules has been issued for the Baltimore Metro and the following bus lines: Nos. 1, 3, 4, 9, 11 (both), 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 21, 23 (both), 26, 27, 30, 31, 35, 43, 44, 55, 61, 62, 63, 64, 66, 70, 71, M-1, M-2, M-3, M-6, M-16, 120, 150, 230, 240, 929 and Social Security.

Continuing diversion

Nos. 13 (Social Security) and 15 -- Effective until further notice because of weight restrictions on the Clifton Avenue bridge over Windsor Mill Road, buses will follow temporary route: westbound via regular route on Clifton Avenue to Lyndhurst Avenue, north on Lyndhurst, west on Windsor Mill, north and west on Talbot Road, north on Clifton, then via regular route. Eastbound buses travel reverse route. Buses on the No. 15 line to and from Windsor Hills use the bridge via regular a.m. and p.m. routes as scheduled.
