Nomination forms for Howard County's Excellence in Education awards are available at the Chamber of Commerce office, the School Information Office at the Department of Education and Maryland National Bank branches throughout the county.

Outstanding county educators, professional and volunteer, are eligible.

Recipients will be honored at the Chamber's Second Annual Community Awards Night at 7:30 p.m. April 2 at Turf Valley Hotel & Country Club.

Applications will be accepted through Feb. 7 at chamber offices.

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE

Howard Community College, Johns Hopkins Hospital and IMED Corp. are offering scholarships for students enrolled in HCC's Biomedical Engineering Technology (BMET) program.

The Johns Hopkins Hospital Award includes $3,000 for tuition, part-time employment at the hospital during college and preferential consideration for full-time position upon graduation.

HCC's Outstanding Program Award is $750 in cash awarded as a scholarship.

The IMED Corp. Award is offering a $500 scholarship.

Scholarship applications must be submitted by March 1.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS

Delegates Marty Madden and John Morgan (District 13-B) have applications available for House of Delegates scholarships.

Students who live in the district and attend or plan to attend a college in Maryland are eligible to apply.

Applicants may verify their legislative district with the Board of Elections at 313-2727.

Applications must be returned by March 15.
