January 16, 1992

Two youths were slightly injured yesterday when the car in which they were riding collided with a Bel Air volunteer fire company ambulance that was responding to a traffic accident.

Capt. Edward Hopkins, the fire company's public information officer, said the ambulance was headed for the 2700 block of Forge Hill Road and was northbound in the 1000 block of PTC Conowingo Road about 5:15 p.m. when a car left the shoulder of the road and pulled into the path of the ambulance.

Hopkins said the driver of the car, Ryan Manear, 17, and his passenger, Scott Manear, 15, both of the 1200 block of Brighton Ave. in Bel Air, were treated for minor injuries at Fallston General Hospital and released.

The driver and crew member of the ambulance were not injured, Hopkins said.
