Baltimore City

Northern District -- Police reported that several pieces of property stolen during a weekend burglary of a home in the 900 block of E. 30th St. were recovered following the arrest of a suspect. Police said someone broke into the home Saturday afternoon and stole a TV, stereo equipment and a microwave oven. Police said entry was gained by someone breaking a window. Shortly after the break-in, police arrested Larry Weaver, 28, of the 400 block of N. Montford Ave. and charged him with burglary and theft of property valued at more than $300. Following a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner, Weaver was ordered held in lieu of $10,000 bond pending a bail review hearing in District Court.

THEFT: Northern District -- A resident of the 300 block of Southway reported that someone broke into her 1989 Jeep while the vehicle was parked near her home and stole an extension ladder and jumper cables. Police said the property was valued at more than $300.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police said a cordless telephone was stolen from a dwelling in the 5100 block of The Alameda over the weekend after someone gained entry through a basement window. Police said the telephone was valued at more than $150.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police said someone broke into a dwelling in the 400 block of Notre Dame Lane and stole property valued at more than $2,600. Police said entry was gained through a second floor window and that the break-in occurred between Dec. 20 and yesterday.

THEFT: Northern District -- An out-of-town resident told police that while her 1992 Geo Storm was parked in the 3800 block of Juniper Road over the weekend, someone broke into the vehicle and stole a radar detector, three sweaters and a brown leather carrying bag. Police said the property was valued at more than $200.

THEFT: Northern District -- Police said a baby stroller was stolen from a 1992 Chevrolet Lumina while the vehicle was parked in the 3100 block of Old York Road. The owner of the stroller, a resident of the 4300 block of Sheldon Road, told police the property was valued at $200.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 4100 block of Old York Road told police she was walking near her home yesterday afternoon when a man approached her from behind and stole her purse. Police said the man escaped with cash and property, all valued at $400.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police reported that someone broke into a dwelling in the 2600 block of Guilford Ave. yesterday and stole two VCRs. Police said the property was valued at $400 and that entry into the house was gained by kicking in a rear door.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police said $100 was stolen from a dwelling in the 5700 block of Roland Ave. after someone entered through an unlocked door. Police said the burglary occurred between Sunday night and yesterday morning.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Police said a man approached a woman from behind while she was walking in the 2600 block of W. Belvedere Ave. yesterday afternoon and stole her purse. Police said the man escaped with cash and other property, all valued at about $100.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Police today were seeking a man who robbed the Burger King in the 2800 block of Greenmount Ave. of an undisclosed sum of money last night. Police said a man entered the restaurant around 9 p.m. and walked to the counter. There, he pulled out a handgun and ordered an employee to give him the contents of a cash register. After taking the money, the gunman turned and ran out the door.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- An employee of Bush Plumbing and Heating Inc., in the 1500 block of Clipper Road, reported that while his company-owned truck was parked in the 2700 block of The Alameda yesterday, someone broke into the vehicle by forcing a vent window and stole plumbing tools and equipment. Police said the property was valued at nearly $1,000.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 4000 block of The Alameda reported that someone broke into her home yesterday and stole property valued at nearly $2,000. Police said entry was gained through a window on the side of the house.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Police said a teen-age resident of the 5000 block of Plymouth Road was walking in the 5500 block of Richard Ave. yesterday afternoon when he was stopped by a man who demanded the Chicago Bulls sports jacket the youth wore. The man kept one hand in his coat pocket as though armed. Police said the youth gave up the jacket, which was valued at nearly $150.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 7000 block of Hamlet Ave. reported that someone broke into her home over the weekend and stole property valued at several hundred dollars. Police said entry was gained by breaking a pane of glass out of a window.
