Fowler and Swasey, in third after the compulsory phase of the competition, took the title by winning the original and free dance programs.

Jeff Merica, an Annapolis, Md., native who trains in Newark, Del., finished eighth in the junior men's final.

Philip Dulebohn, a Germantown, Md., native who also trains in Newark, finished ninth.

Earlier, Dulebohn's older brother Paul teamed with Andrea Catoia of Thornton, Pa., to finish fourth in the junior pairs.
