Donald B. Joynes, 73, a retired electronics technician for the Baltimore County school system, died Tuesday of cancer at a hospital in Tennessee, where he lived.
Services were being held today in Maryville, Tenn.
The Baltimore native moved to Tennessee five years ago from Delta, Pa. He retired eight years ago after working in Towson for the school system for 20 years. Earlier, he worked for the Glenn L. Martin Co., now Martin Marietta Corp.
He is survived by his wife, the former Ruth Gelgan; a son, James Sikes Jr. of Maryville; four grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
