Nationally top-ranked Dunbar (12-0, 2-0) had little trouble yesterday in defeating Loyola, The Baltimore Sun's No. 8 team, 93-47, in a Maryland Scholastic Association A Conference Division I game.
Dunbar forward Donta Bright led four teammates in double figures with a triple double. He scored 26 points, converting 12 of 16 field goals, pulled down 15 rebounds and blocked 10 shots.
Keith Booth scored 19 and grabbed 14 rebounds, and Michael Lloyd added 16 for the Poets.
Steve Kraning led Loyola (8-5, 1-2), with 13 points, nine of which were from three-point range. Warren Parker added 11 for the Dons.
Dunbar will face Oak Hill Academy of Virginia (USA Today's fourth-ranked team) Friday in the McDonald's Classic in Erie, Pa.
