Kremer of Calvert Hall and Matt Weimer of Broadneck (second team); Josh Baer of Centennial (third team); and Chris Eatough of Fallston and Brian Peterson of Severna Park (fourth team). * Sophomore striker Michelle Salmon of Old Mill was one of 32 players to make the girls under-16 National Soccer Team Pool after last month's tryouts at Texas Christian University.
She was one of eight selections from the Eastern Region and the only player from Maryland. Salmon, a member of The Baltimore Sun's first-team All-Metro squad last fall, led Anne Arundel County in scoring (23 goals, three assists).
* There will be a banquet Thursday at the Towson Sheraton to commemorate Joe Brune's 25 years as football coach at Loyola. The banquet begins at 7 p.m., and included among the guest speakers are Vince Bagli, Augie Waibel, George Young, Mel Filler, John Stewart and Bruce McGonnigal. LB Anthony Walker of North County and OL Mark Miles of Severna Park will receive the Annapolis Touchdown Club's top football awards for 1991. Walker will accept the Rhodes Trophy as Anne Arundel County's top player when the club holds its annual banquet Feb. 18 at St. Mary's High School. Miles will receive the Al Laramore Award as the county's premier lineman. Both Walker and Miles were first-team All-Metro selections by The Baltimore Sun last fall.
