Here's what to look for if you're traveling in the Baltimore metropolitan area this week. This list of highway projects includes only newly announced work, not continuing construction, which is extensive on several highways, including Interstate 95, U.S. 50/301 and the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.

Highway projects

The Ostend Street bridge over Camden Yards is closed because of construction. This is for bridge replacement and reconstruction of Ostend Street from Russell to Sharp streets and the resurfacing of Ostend Street from Sharp to Leadenhall Street. Project is to be completed in May 1992.

Fallsway between Eager, Biddle and Chase streets is closed because of reconstruction of Fallsway and Chase Street bridges.

Bus route changes

The MTA has scheduled the following changes in bus routes for this week. Information: 539-5000; TTY for the hearing-impaired, 539-3497.

Temporary rerouting

No. 20 -- Effective until further notice, eastbound buses will travel regular route to Hilton and Baltimore streets, south on Hilton, west and south on Fred Hilton Pass, east on Frederick Avenue, north on Catherine Street, east on Baltimore, then via regular route. Westbound buses will travel regular route on Baltimore to Catherine, south on Catherine, west on Frederick, north on Hilton to Baltimore, then via regular route.

No. 21 -- Effective until further notice, eastbound buses will travel regular route on Biddle Street to Guilford Avenue, north on Guilford, east on Federal Street, south on Greenmount Avenue, east on Biddle, then via regular route. No change westbound.
