Reflections

December 31, 1991|By Diane Jacobs

Lift the glass

A year goes by . . .

A snowflake in the winter sky

! A crystal memory.

Amidst the taffeta and lace,

the smell of pine

` the Christmas face

Adjust the angel on the tree

Familiar is the mystery.

The richness of the baritone,

1% impassioned of the Auld Lang Syne

To celebrate a note in time

Sing together

Share the art of chronicles that gild the heart.

However cold the passing year,

Tradition in the candlelight

3' burns deeper than the wistful tear.

Wreathe the night

Festoon the day

Gather moments as they stray

Life the glass

A year goes by . . .

.` A snowflake in the winter sky.
