SAINT AMBROSE Outreach Center, 3445 Park Heights Ave., wants volunteer tutors for its free adult reading and pre-GED day and evening classes held Monday through Thursday. To help, call 225-0870.

Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine is seeking volunteers for a variety of positions which includes staffing the information desk, leading activities, helping in the park's library or museum collection and on general maintenance. For details, call 962-4290.

Ombudsman Program of the Commission on Aging and Retirement Education wants volunteers to help protect the rights of Baltimore nursing home residents who are too frail and sick to advocate for themselves. Volunteers will be trained to investigate and attempt to resolve complaints. Call 396-3144.
