Man who threatened his wife is slain

December 24, 1991

A 27-year-old West Baltimore man was shot and killed last night after he quarreled and fought with a woman in an apartment in northwest Baltimore, police said.

Kenneth Marcell Moye, of the 1600 block of Braddish Ave., was shot several times shortly after 9 p.m. He died at the scene.

The woman was taken into custody, but later was released and was not charged, police said.

Maye and his wife, whose name was not disclosed, recently had separated, police said. She moved away and was living with the couple's infant child in an apartment in the 2200 block of Reisterstown Road, police said.

Police said Moye discovered yesterday where his wife was living and went to the apartment where they got into an argument in which police said Moye "physically harassed" his wife and threatened to kill her.

At one point, police said, Moye put a knife to the woman's throat and threatened to take the child.

As the argument grew heated, the woman produced a handgun and shot Moye several times, police said. He was found dead in the kitchen.
