Baltimore City

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 5900 block of Glenkirk Road reported that someone broke into his home through a kitchen door over the weekend and stole cash and property, all valued at more than $4,000.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Property valued at more than $1,000 was reported stolen from a dwelling in the 4300 block of Clareway after someone got in through a rear window. The occupant told police the burglar escaped with Christmas gifts and household appliances.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Jacqueline Wells, of the 2600 block of Loyola Southway, reported she was at the Frankford Room in the 6000 block of Moravia Park Drive early Sunday when her ex-boyfriend assaulted her and robbed her of more than $400 worth of jewelry. Police said the man escaped and was being sought.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A deliveryman for Vinnie's Pizza in the 5500 block of Sinclair Lane reported he was making a food delivery in the 5100 block of Conant Way on Sunday when a man with a silver-plated semiautomatic handgun robbed him of his wallet, two pizzas and two soft drinks, all of undetermined value.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Miyon Chong, of the 6300 block of Leith Walk, reported that while his 1986 Toyota was parked near his home over the weekend, someone got into it by breaking a window and stole a cellular telephone, cassette tapes and beauty products, all valued at nearly $1,000.

ARSON: Northeastern District -- Police said someone entered an apartment building at the Winston Apartments in the 1200 block of Rossiter Ave. early Sunday and set fire to a first-floor hallway after pouring a flammable liquid on the floor. Police said the fire also damaged the door to an apartment. Shortly after it was reported, the blaze was extinguished by firefighters.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 3300 block of Ramona Ave. reported that someone entered her enclosed back porch by forcing a door and stole an 18-inch, 18-speed mountain bike valued at more than $800.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Josephine Cuvina, of the 3600 block of The Alameda, reported that someone entered a room in her home over the weekend and stole a ring valued at more than $1,000.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Employees of the Super-Grain Corp. in the 3600 block of Clipper Mill Road reported that someone broke into the firm over the weekend by prying open a window and stole tools and cash of unknown value.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Joseph Christian, of the 4900 block of Poe Ave., told police he was walking in the 5100 block of Sunset Road about 5 a.m. yesterday when a man grabbed him by the arms while an accomplice pointed a gun at him and demanded his money. Police said the men robbed Christian of cash and a gold chain with a total value of $400 before escaping.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 2800 block of Remington Ave. reported that someone entered his home with a key and stole a 35mm camera valued at $300.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police said someone stole property from a dwelling in the 200 block of W. Cold Spring Lane after breaking in between Thursday and Sunday. Police said the burglar escaped with a 10-speed bike, ceiling fan and a rug shampooing machine.

THEFT: Northern District -- Tools valued at more than $500 were reported stolen from a truck owned by an out-of-town company while it was parked in the 500 block of E. 26th St. Police said the theft occurred about 9 a.m. yesterday.

THEFT: Northern District -- Pamela Warfield, of the 1300 block of Morling Ave., told police someone entered her home over the weekend and stole a 10-speed bike valued at more than $200.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 3200 block of N. Charles St. reported that someone entered his home without leaving any sign of forced entry and stole a cassette recorder. Police said the value of the property was not known and that it appeared a key was used to enter the dwelling.

ROBBERY TRY: Northern District -- James Bryant, of the 2500 block of St. Paul St., reported he was walking in the 300 block of E. 29th St. yesterday evening when he was stopped by two men who struck Bryant in the face with their fists and searched his pocket for money and valuables. Finding none, the men fled.

ROBBERY/ARREST: Western District -- Sherwood Clairborne, of the 2800 block of Kirk Ave., told police he was in the 1900 block of N. Fulton Ave. Sunday night when he was forced to give up his 1990 Geo Storm to two men, one with a handgun. Later, police arrested two men in the robbery and were holding them at the station pending charges.

SHOOTING: Western District -- David Coleman, of the 800 block of N. Gilmor St., reported he was in the 2900 block of W. North Ave. around 5 p.m. yesterday when he was accosted by a man with a handgun who shot him in the left leg. Police said the gunman escaped and Coleman was taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released.
