So long, boys

December 23, 1991

Woody Bladwell's adolescence is over. Baltimore-based cartoonists Craig Hankin and Tom Chalkley have announced they will no longer produce Normal, the comic strip featuring Woody, above right, and his pal, Junior. The reasons are economic, the artists say. It's hard to make it when a strip is not syndicated. Normal has been appearing daily only in The Evening Sun.

Hank 'N' Chalk thank our readers for supporting their home-grown venture. This week, they'll recycle favorite holiday strips. Their final Normal strip will appear Dec. 31.
