ANNAPOLIS — Air Force Tech Sgt. Elizabeth K. Griffith has arrived for duty at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Va.

Her husband, Glen, is the sonof Zadith V. Cook of Annapolis.

Parker ends training

Pvt. Jerrold K. Parker, son of Lillian Ridgely and Eugene Parker, both of Annapolis, has completed basic training at Ft. Jackson, S.C.

Parker is a 1990 graduate of Annapolis Senior High School.

Smith in exercise

Navy Airman Anthony G. Smith, son of Anthony and Elizabeth Smith of Annapolis, recently participated in Exercise Valiant Blitz aboard the amphibious command ship USSBlue Ridge.

During the exercise, the U.S. Seventh Fleet made portvisits to Pohang and Chinhae, Korea.

A 1989 graduate of BroadneckSenior High School, Smith joined the Navy in September 1989.

Marine 2nd Lt. Joseph P. Schultz, son of John W. and Helen C. Schultz of Arnold, recently graduated from the Basic School at Marine Corps Combat Development Command in Quantico, Va.

A 1986 graduate of Broadneck Senior High School and a 1990 graduate of Salisbury State Uni

versity, Schultz joined the Marine Corps in December 1990.

GOPSHES JOINS RESERVES

Wayne J. Gopshes, son of Raymond and Elaine Gopshes of Brooklyn Park,has joined the Army Reserves under the Army's Delayed Entry Program.

Gopshes, a 1990 graduate of Brooklyn Park High School, will report for basic training at Fort Knox, Ky., in January.

Navy Petty Officer 1st Class David R. Sillaman, son of Charles C. and Catherine Sillaman of Crownsville, hasreported for duty at Naval Air Station, Sigonella, Italy.

Sillaman joined the Navy in March 1977.

Army Sgt. Rodney S. Ingram, son of Susan D. Margwarth of Holiday, Fla., and Robert Ingram of Edgewater, has been named non-commissioned officer of the year.

A 1986 graduate of Gulf Comprehensive High School in New Port Richey, Fla., Ingram is an assistant operations supervisor at McGraw Kaserne, Germany.
