Chairwoman

Linthicum Country Fair

As chairwoman of the second annual Linthicum Country Fair, I would like to thank you and your newspaper for the excellent coverage that was given to this worthwhile community project.

The 22 non-profit organizations listed below donated 15 percent of their profits to the charity NCEON (North County Emergency Outreach Network). Some of these organizations donated their entire profits to the charity. The donation given to NCEON totaled $734.92! Last year's donation was $600, so we were quite pleased with the increase.

We appreciate your help in publicizing this event. The fair wasa big success!

PRAISE FOR WELLFORD

From: Hazel B. Sanner

Odenton Improvement Association

Recently, Pat Wellford retired from the presidency of the Greater Odenton Improvement Association.

Pat was always at the helm, always on top of every issue in the county, particularly those concerning our area. She attended as many as three meetings a day over and over again. She was totally dedicated to our community.

We will miss Pat's leadership. I'm sure I speak for many other Odenton residents when I say, "Thank you, Pat, for an outstanding job well done."

THANKS FOR AQUARIUMS

From: Sharon Alfinito

Park Ranger

The Anne Arundel County Special Facilities Staff would like to thank everyone who donated, or tried to donate, an aquarium to the B&A Trail, Quiet Waters Park, Downs Park or Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary.

Due to the tremendous response to our request, we were unable to accept every aquarium, but we want the citizens of Anne Arundel County to know that we appreciate their generosity.

The aquariums collected will be used by park rangers to create interpretivedisplays at the various park headquarters.
