All but about 10 employees at the Aneco Trousers Corp. plant in Taneytown, which closed recently, have found employment at the company's plant in Hanover, Pa., a county official said Monday.
The Taneytown plant employed about 90 people, said James C. Threatte, director ofthe Office of Economic and Community Development.
The company consolidated operations in Hanover, the site of its corporate headquarters, Threatte said. The county's Job Training Partnership Act office provided employees with information about retraining, resumes and related issues, he said.
Aneco will continue to paytaxes on its building in Taneytown, Threatte said.
Also on Monday, Threatte told the Board of County Commissioners in an informal meeting that his office is working on material to be mailed to realty agents, investors and others who might locate new business in Carroll County.
