Cocaine Transaction Leads To Arrest Of 3

Three people were charged with distributing cocaine after police said they saw a drug transaction in the parking lot of a Pasadena mall Friday.

An undercover narcotics officer in the parking lot of the Pasadena Crossroads mall, at the intersection of Ritchie Highway and Jumper's Hole Road, saw the trio exchange money for a package, police said.

He called for more officers, who searched their car and found four grams of cocaine, worth about $936.

Dennis Joseph Kelly Sr., 40,of the 200 block W. Hamburg Street in Pasadena; Kevin Michael Brown,33, of the 100 block Laird Benton Road in Stevensonville; and Karen Sue Dockery, 37, of the 7900 block Shetlands Dell in Glen Burnie, were taken to Eastern District to be charged.


An Annapolis man was stabbed late Friday night in Severn, county police reported.

The 29-year-old man was walking on Arwell Court about 9 p.m. when the assailant walked up to him and asked him if he "wanted anything," police said.

The victim said no, and the assailant demanded $20. The pair began fighting and the Annapolis man was stabbed in the thigh.

Police described the assailant as a black man about 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing a dark blue baseball hat and a red and yellow jacket.


A 14-year-old student at Old Mill Senior High was charged as a juvenile with possession of marijuana, police said.

According to the police report, officers learned through an informant that the girl was carrying a small amount of marijuana in the school Friday.

She wascalled to the principal's office, where the officer questioned her. She revealed the marijuana, which was wrapped in a piece of cellophane from a cigarette pack, police said.

She told the officer she washolding it for another guy but did not know his name.

The girl was taken to Eastern District station, charged and released to her father.


Four teen-agers were charged with reckless endangerment after one of them fired a shot into the home of a Glen Burnie woman Thursday.

The 15- and 16-year-old boys were atop a hill overlooking a house in the 1600 block of Tieman Drive when one boy fired a shot through the front door, into theliving room and through a closet door, police said.

Detectives said the boys knew a 50-year-old woman was in the house at the time.


A Fort Meade man was attacked Friday by a man with a machete outside a car dealership in Odenton.

A 22-year-old tow truck driver told police that he was arguingabout 5:15 p.m. with a customer at Columbia Auto Sales Park, in the 2700 block of Annapolis Road, when the customer began swinging a machete at him.

The tow truck driver ran into the dealership to call police, and the assailant followed. The man tackled the tow truck driver, and they began to fight.

Other employees of the dealership separated the two; the man then fled.
