Cincinnati Reds -- Traded P John Wetteland (1-0 in 6 games with the Los Angeles Dodgers) and minor-league P Bill Risley to the Montreal Expos for OF Dave Martinez (.295, 7 HRs, 42 RBI), P Scott Ruskin (4-4, 4.24 ERA) and minor-league IF Willie Greene.

Florida Marlins -- Reached a 1-year player development agreement with Erie of the Class A New York-Penn League for 1992. Named Fredi Gonzalez manager of Erie.

Kansas City Royals -- Traded P Bret Saberhagen (13-8, 3.07) and IF Bill Pecota (.286, 6, 45) to the New York Mets for OF Kevin McReynolds (.259, 16, 74), IF Gregg Jefferies (.272, 9, 62) and IF-OF Keith Miller (.280, 4, 23). Assigned 2B Domingo Mota to Class A Baseball City.

USTA -- Named Tom Gorman and Marty Riessen men's and women's coaches for the 1992 Olympic Games. Announced that Steve DeVoe will become director of professional tennis Jan. 1.
