Baltimore City

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 2900 block of Clifton Park Terrace reported she was walking in the 2900 block of Belair Road around 6 p.m. yesterday when she was attacked from the rear by a man who knocked her to the pavement and robbed her of her purse, which contained cash and food stamps. The victim, Cora Adams, told police the property was valued at $300. Police said Adams was shaken by the attack but not injured.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Wendy Buck, of the 4500 block of Weitzel Ave., told police that a man she knows left her home yesterday carrying her VCR, a computer game and several game tapes. Buck told police the property was valued at more than $500. Police said Buck was advised to seek a warrant for the man's arrest.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 1300 block of E. Belvedere Ave. told police that someone broke into her apartment yesterday and stole property valued at nearly $200. Police said the burglar, who was seen climbing out a window with the property, escaped with a VCR.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police said someone broke into an apartment in the 3100 block of Hamilton Ave. yesterday by removing a piece of plastic that covered a window. Once inside, the burglar stole at least two power saws and other property. Police said the items were valued at more than $300.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Kirk Brown, of the 5600 block of Frankford Ave., told police that while his car was parked near his home someone broke into the vehicle Tuesday night or yesterday morning and stole property valued at $300.

BURGLARY/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a man and were holding him at the station pending charges that he broke into a building in the 1400 block of Franklin St. Police said officers responding to the break-in early Tuesday morning arrested the man and recovered two microwave ovens and other pieces of property. Following charges, the man was to appear at a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Thelma Johnson, of the 800 block of N. Stricker St., reported that during an incident at her home Tuesday afternoon she was assaulted by a man she knows who struck her with a cane and his fists. Police said Johnson sustained minor injuries and that the man was being sought.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Robin Banks, of the 200 block of N. Calhoun St., told police she was in the 1600 block of W. Lafayette Ave. Tuesday evening when she was accosted by two men, one armed, who robbed her of more than $160 in food stamps.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Police said a resident of the 1700 block of W. Lafayette Ave. was in the 1000 block of N. Mount St. Tuesday evening when he was attacked by two teen-age males who rifled his pockets and stole at least $30. Police said the victim, James Mitchell, scuffled with the suspects during the robbery but was unable to prevent the men from robbing him.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 4700 block of Frederick Ave. reported that someone broke into his home through a rear window and stole property valued at $300. Police said the break-in occurred Tuesday night or yesterday morning.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Kenneth Woodall, of the 2200 block of Christian St., reported he was in the 400 block of S. Pulaski St. early yesterday morning when he was stopped by a man armed with an unknown caliber handgun who demanded his money. Police said Woodall gave up $50 to the gunman, who escaped on foot.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Police said property valued more than $100 was reported stolen yesterday by the occupant of an apartment in the 500 block of Coventry Road. The victim told police that someone gained entry by kicking in the front door.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 3400 block of Mulberry St. reported that someone forced his way into her apartment yesterday and stole property valued at more than $400.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Police said someone broke into a home in the 1500 block of Poplar Grove St. Tuesday night or yesterday morning and stole property valued at $300. Police ++ said entry was gained through the front door.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 4400 block of Wickford Road reported that someone broke into his garage and stole an aluminum extension ladder. Police said the ladder was valued at more than $100.

THEFT: Northern District -- Rhonda Calhoun, of the 400 block of E. Lorraine Ave., reported that while she was sleeping yesterday afternoon someone entered her bedroom and stole $400 worth of food stamps and nearly $200 from her night stand.

THEFT: Northern District -- Tracey Johnson, of the 4300 block of Downhill Terrace in Hampstead, told police that someone entered her room at Sinai Hospital yesterday evening and stole her purse. Johnson told police the purse contained cash and property, all valued at more than $200.
