Hospital Adds To Staff

WESTMINSTER — Two shift coordinators have joined the nursing management staff at Carroll County General Hospital:

* Cynthia Roop will coordinate theweekend day shift, overseeing hospital activities at times when administrative offices are closed. She will continue to serve part-time as charge nurse in the hospital's Labor and Delivery Unit.

A Westminster resident, Roop trained as a registered nurse at St.Joseph's Hospital in Lancaster and earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Maryland. Aside from her experience in hospital-based nursing, she also worked as a public health nurse for the Carroll County Health Department.

* Kizzie Baker has been appointed evening shift coordinator. Baker, who recently retired from theU.S. Army Corps of Nurses, is working toward her master's degree at the Frederick campus of Frostburg State University.

She received her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Evansville in Indiana.
