The Anne Arundel County Human Relations Commission is accepting nominations for the Dallas G. Pace Sr. Human Relations Award. The deadline for nominations is Dec. 31.

This annual award will be presented Jan. 20 at the Martin Luther King Memorial Breakfast at the Ramada Inn.

The Anne Arundel County Board of Supervisors of Elections announced that Feb. 3 is the deadline for voter registration for the 1992 Presidential primary election, which takes place March 3.

It is also the last day to apply for elderly or handicappedbarrier free polling places.

Applications are available at the following locations:

* Election Offices -- 101 North Crain Hwy., Room 305, Glen Burnie

* All Anne Arundel County libraries

* Most banks, and savings and loan institutions.

The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development has released some $68 million for mortgage financing.

Eligible Maryland residents, including those in Anne Arundel County, are encouraged to take advantage of this funding. It can be used tofinance new or existing single-family homes, including town houses, detached or semi-detached homes and condominiums.

Under the program, the maximum purchase price is $85,000 for a newly constructed homeand $80,000 for an existing home. This amount differs in certain areas.

Terms of the loan, which is payable over 30 years, are 7.25 percent interest for households with annual incomes no higher than $28,200, and 8.25 percent for eligible households with incomes above $28,200, up to the program limits.

Income limits are $32,000 for an individual and $40,000 for a family of two or more.
