Baltimore City

ROBBERY: Western District -- Sharon Casey, of the 1400 block of Mountmor Court, reported she was in the 1100 block of N. Gilmor St. Monday evening when she was attacked by a man who struck her several times with his fists and robbed her of the purse she was carrying. Police said the purse contained $17 in cash and more than $200 worth of food stamps.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Anna Cunningham, of the 900 block of N. Stricker St., reported she was robbed of more than $300 worth of food stamps by two men, one armed with a handgun, who accosted her Monday afternoon as she walked in the 1500 block of W. Lafayette Ave.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Police said a woman walking in the 1300 block of W. North Ave. Monday night was assaulted and knocked down by a man who stole her purse and escaped. The victim, Nicole Hobbs, of the 1400 block of Mosher St., told police the purse contained cash and property, all valued at about $60.

SHOOTING: Western District -- Joey Garcia, of the 1900 block of W. Baltimore St., reported he was walking toward a bus stop in the 2000 block of W. Baltimore St. around 10 p.m. Monday when someone in a passing car fired a shot at him. Police said the car sped away and that Garcia was taken to Bon Secours Hospital, where he was treated for a minor gunshot wound and released. Police had no motive for the shooting.

CUTTING: Western District -- Chester Knight, of the 500 block of N. Pulaski St., told police he was in the 900 block of W. Fayette St. around 10 p.m. Monday when he was attacked from the rear by a man armed with a knife who stabbed him in the left shoulder and left arm for no apparent reason. Police said Knight's assailant escaped and that the victim was taken to Bon Secours Hospital, where he was treated and released.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Quandra Scott, of the 5000 block of Corley Road near Leakin Park, reported she was in the 1800 block of N. Mount St. late Monday night when she was stopped by a man known to her as "Willie" who robbed her of $20 while implying he was armed with a handgun.

CUTTING: Western District -- Police today were seeking a 23-year-old man in connection with the cutting yesterday afternoon of LaTanya King, of the 1700 block of Mosher St., during an incident near her home. Police said King was attacked by a man armed with a razor who cut her on the right hand, causing an inch-long laceration. Following the assault, police said King was taken to Bon Secours Hospital for treatment and was released.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Willie Williams, of the 900 block of Poplar Grove St., reported he was in the 1200 block of W. `D Fayette St. yesterday morning when he was stopped by two men, one armed with a handgun, who ordered him to give up his money. Police said the men robbed Williams of more than $80 and escaped on foot.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Andre Wilson, of the 2000 block of Boyd St., reported he was robbed of more than $80 and a set of keys after he was attacked by several men around 9 p.m. yesterday as he walked in the 1000 block of N. Calhoun St. Wilson told police he recognized one of his attackers as a man known to him as "Scar."

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Thomas Preston, of the 2300 block of Derby Road, reported he was walking in the 4100 block of Reisterstown Road around 7 a.m. yesterday when he was attacked by four youths, one armed with a handgun, who struck him several times with their fists and robbed him of cash and property, all valued at nearly $300.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- Shirette Shell, of the 5300 block of Cordelia Ave., told police that someone entered her car yesterday afternoon while it was parked near her home and stole several pieces of clothing. Shell told police the clothing was valued at more than $800 and that she suspects a man she knows, who had taken her keys earlier, of entering the car and stealing her property.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 6200 block of Hopeton Ave. reported that someone broke into his home through a rear kitchen window yesterday evening and stole property valued at more than $1,000.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Police today were seeking two men who robbed Murry's steaks in the 3400 block of Park Heights Ave. while holding several employees and customers at bay with a handgun. Police said the men entered the store around 11 p.m. Monday and announced a holdup. While one of the men was given an undisclosed sum of money from the safe by an employee, his accomplice covered at least six other people with the gun. After taking the money, the pair ran out the front door.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Corey Wiggins, of the 1000 block of Gerard Ave., told police he was in the 2500 block of Garrison Boulevard around 8 p.m. Monday when he was accosted by a man armed with an unknown caliber handgun who demanded his money. Police said Wiggins complied, giving the gunman more than $100.
