Uhlfelder, Caple win cross-country titles

Brad Uhlfelder, competing for the Baltimore Road Runners Club No. 1 team, and Jenny Caple, competing for Westminster, ran off with individual honors in Sunday's BRRC 6-mile cross-country championships at Herring Run Park.

It was the final event in the club's annual eight-part championship series.

Uhlfelder beat second-place finisher Robert Yara by 7 seconds, and Caple was a minute ahead of second-place female finisher Joy Glass (BRRC 1).

The BRRC No. 1 team finished in first place, followed by BRRC No. 2, Catonsville, Westminster and BRRC No. 3. In team standings, a team's top four men and top woman are counted.
