Services for Julia H. Berros of Wadesboro, N.C., a former Glen Burnie resident, took place Friday at Singleton Funeral Home. Burial followed at Glen Haven Memorial Park.

Berros, 74, died Tuesday in Marshville, N.C., after a two-month illness.

Born in Elrama, Penn., Berros worked as a waitress at her parents' restaurant and coffee shop in Glen Burnie. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Odenton and enjoyed crocheting, quiltingand baking.

Berros is preceded in death by her husband, James Z. Berros.

Survivors include her son, James A. Berros of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Catherine Short of Wadesboro, N.C., and Mary Stubbins of Lewes, Del.; a brother, George Hutchko of Glen Burnie; a sister, Mary Padgett of Odenton; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
