Zukerman is named Dallas guest conductor

DALLAS -- Pinchas Zukerman was appointed principal guest conductor of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra for three years beginning with the 1993-94 season, it was announced yesterday. In addition, his position as principal conductor of the orchestra's summer music festival was extended for three years.

A renowned violinist and violist, Zukerman made his debut with the DSO in 1974.
