ATLANTA -- Dave Johnson scored 29, including seven three-point baskets, and Syracuse never trailed as it coasted past Florida State.

The Orangemen (3-0) took a 12-3 lead in the first five minutes and stretched it to 28-13 on a driving layup by freshman Lawrence Moten 9:14 before halftime.

The Seminoles (1-1), playing their first season in the ACC after leaving the Metro Conference, got within nine points three times later in the half, but never came closer.
