It's your call

December 04, 1991

Japan should apologize for its attack on Pearl Harbor 50 years ago, say 317 (65 percent) of 483 callers to SUNDIAL. The remaining 166 callers (34 percent) say Japan should not apologize.

An 89 percent majority, 434 out of 484 callers, would not have the United States apologize for bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki, while 50 callers (10 percent) say a U.S. apology in necessary.

"It's Your Call" represents a sampling of opinions from certain segments of the community, but it is not balanced demographically, as would be done in a scientific public opinion poll.
