Deceptively strong and durable . . . had big performances in big games . . . 461 yards and 6 TDs vs. Calvert Hall, Loyola and Poly . . . totaled 1,063 yards, 19 TDs. Overlea, RB

Led the area in rushing during the regular season with 1,501 yards and 17 TDs . . . after 2 playoff games, finished with 1,664 yards, 18 TDs and 15 2-point conversions.

Loyola, OL

The leader for an offensive line that helped produce a 1,000-yard rusher and a QB who ran for nearly to 300 yards and passed for more than 600 . . . good straight-ahead power blocker.

Wilde Lake, OL

College scouts say he could play in the NFL . . . great technique, good footwork at right tackle . . . best blocker for line that helped RB Damon Hamlin gain nearly 1,300 yards.

Overlea, TE

Area's best major college TE prospect but also outstanding at LB . . . had 12 catches for 287 yards and 5 TDs and was key blocker for 1,500-yard rusher.

Old Mill, OL

Not only keyed Old Mill's line but was a force on punt coverage and special teams . . . snapped for every extra point and field goal . . . extremely quick.

Calvert Hall, OL

Best 2-way performer for the Cardinals, who held the area's No. 1 ranking for 4 weeks . . . center for line that cleared way for nearly 1,500 yards rushing . . . could have made team as LB.

Cardinal Gibbons, RB

Considered the area's top running back prospect . . . had 210 carries for 1,353 yards and 15 touchdowns playing in the area's ** toughest conference.

Kenwood, SE

Finished tied for 2nd in the area with 49 catches but 1st in yardage (1,112) and TDs (14) . . . tremendous speed helped turn short passes into big gainers.

Severna Park, OL

A first-team All-Metro pick in 1990 . . . used his strength and quick feet to key Severna Park's running game, which produced 1,000-yard rusher John Jennings.

City, QB

Completed 51 of 83 for 1,027 yards and 12 TDs . . . ran for 367 yards on 56 carries . . . mastered the option offense this season . . . a real leader and only a junior.

C.M. Wright, PK

Kicked 42-yard field goal to beat Aberdeen by 1 . . . had just 1 other field goal but kicked 39 of 42 PATs . . . also punted for 37.8 average . . . 38 receptions and 8 TDs.
